Marzocchi DH3
The DH3 was Marzocchi's pioneering purpose-built downhill fork of 1995–1996 — one of the earliest production DH-specific forks on the market, built in an era when mountain bike downhill racing was just beginning to define its own equipment category.
The Marzocchi DH3
The DH3 dates from 1995–1996 — a period when mountain bike downhill racing was just emerging as a distinct discipline and very few manufacturers offered purpose-built DH forks. Marzocchi was one of the first to commit fully to this category, and the DH3 was the result.
With 26 mm stanchions and approximately 81 mm of travel, the DH3 looks modest by modern standards. But in the mid-1990s context, it was a serious piece of equipment — stiffer, more controlled, and more serviceable than the repurposed XC forks that most riders were using for DH at the time.

26 mm stanchions, approximately 81 mm travel, standard 100 mm QR dropout. Damping by twin oil-bath cartridges. The DH3 is notable for being one of the first forks in Marzocchi’s archive to have dedicated service and parts documentation — the parts lists for the DH3 survive in the Technical Documents section.
